I wrote this song about a couple of days before embarking on One Rep Max. This demo is just a proof of concept, not sure if I will make a fully produced version with more bells and whistles. As for the lyrical inspiration, occasionally I get fascinated by flight, especially in a dream like state, but being afraid of heights I don't have the boundless control in my imagination and dreams while in flight. There's a cautiousness that comes out in these states and also in the lyrics. There's also the theme of being able to fly as a result from freeing oneself from pain, or yearning to fly whilst in pain. Many of my lyrics are written from a subconscious level so I'm not too sure where the themes came from. :)
